Safeseal Roofing Ltd was appointed by Almond Estates to deliver the roofing package for their new-build development, The Stables in Preston - a collection of five luxury homes set in a rural location. The client required a roofing solution that complemented the premium design of the properties while meeting structural requirements due to weight constraints.
Each phase - from structural work to finishing touches - was executed with precision and care, making this a standout project for the Safeseal team.
The aim of the project was to install high-quality pitched roofs that blend seamlessly with the development’s countryside setting, while delivering excellent durability and performance. Each roof needed to meet the developer’s specification for lightweight materials, high impact resistance and premium finishes. The project also sought to maximise natural light and countryside views through carefully integrated skylights, all while being completed by Safeseal’s own directly-employed teams under full site supervision and rigorous quality checks.

As the buildings were timber-framed and situated in a countryside setting, weight and aesthetics were key factors. The roof needed to achieve the look of natural slate while keeping loadings low, ensuring durability and performance without compromising on appearance.
Lightweight Tapco slates were installed to replicate the natural appearance of traditional slate while providing the advantages of reduced weight and high impact resistance. The project involved the construction of five pitched roofs, all completed to NHBC and Almond Estates specification. Velux skylight balconies were integrated to maximise natural light and allow homeowners to take full advantage of the surrounding countryside views. All works were carried out by Safeseal’s directly employed roofing teams, supported by full site supervision and rigorous quality checks throughout.
